The Meixian Hushuyuan Power Station Phase I under its operation has modified
its 2 x 135 MW coal gangue power plant to be an environmental friendly
Fluidized Bed System of the highest capacity in the country. Its clean coal
combustion technology can fully utilize inferior coal and coal gangue to
generate electricity. Other advantages include possibility of direct
desulphurization by limestone, low nitrogen compound emissions and high
adaptability to various kinds of coals.
Installs water hammer equipment to avoid pipe bursts and water leakage due to
excessive pressure caused by hydraulic vibration
Adopts a quasi-close loop system in its 410 km-long distribution network, which
allows repairs and maintenance to be performed with minimal disruption to water
supply system
Effectively reduced water loss ratio from nearly 40% in 1982 to below 10%
