Mid-Autumn Celebration & Birthday Party for Paediatric
Patients
To bring joy of Mid-Autumn Festival to the patients at the
Paediatric Wards of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, volunteers of NWS
Volunteer Alliance helped decorate the wards and performed balloon twisting on
31 August 2002. A party was also held for celebrating the birthday of a
bedridden paediatric patient on the same day.

Loving Bus Journey for a Bedridden Paediatric Patient
NWS Volunteer Alliance realized the dream of Wong Chun-To, a
five-year-old bedridden paediatric patient of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern
Hospital, by arranging a bus to take him to the City Hall for the Hong Kong Red
Cross Schools' Outstanding Academic Achievement. Moreover, a surprising
birthday party was organized for him at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition
Centre afterwards.

Donation to HK Student Aid Society
Being aware that the students of Mark Memorial Home and those in
Mainland China are in need, staff of NWS Holdings donated toys, clothing and
books etc. for the organization's charity sale held on 5 May 2002.

English Workshops for New Arrivals
In order to stimulate the students emigrating from Mainland
China to have a greater interest in learning English, NWS Volunteer Alliance
and YMCA of Hong Kong Cheung Sha Wan Centre have coorganized a series of
English workshops for the young arrivals.
