NWS Holdings announced that its joint venture Sino-French Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited had entered into an agreement with Nam Kwong Development (H.K.) Limited to sell 90% of the issued share capital in Sino-French Energy Development Company Limited ("SFED") and the shareholder loan owed by SFED, at the aggregate cash consideration of US$612 million (equivalent to HK$4,755.24 million). SFED holds approximately 42.2% shareholding in Companhia de Electricidade de Macau – CEM, S.A. ("Macau Power"). NWS Holdings shared a gain of HK$1.5 billion from the disposal of approximately 17% effective interest in Macau Power.

NWFF received the extension of licenses from Transport Department for the operation of ferry services plying between Central and Mui Wo, between North Point and Hung Hom together with North Point and Kowloon City with effect from 1 April. The routes of plying between Central and Cheung Chau, as well as Inter-islands (plying between Peng Chau, Mui Wo, Chi Ma Wan, and Cheung Chau) took effect from 1 July.
