EXP is the building blocks of EXPloration. EXPerience. EXPerimentation. That is what NWS’s signature CSV (Creating Shared Value) program EXP Journey is all about.

 

Beyond what books can teach and the four walls of a classroom, the EXP Journey brings students into the school of life. Leveraging New World Group’s ecosystem, the program offers a variety of career experiences for participants to connect with something new, find new sides of themselves and even discover their own calling. The Group has been working with St. James Settlement Jockey Club Upcycling Centre to roll out the“Upcycling for New Life” programme to collect waste pallets from ATL Logistics Centre, and transform them into a variety of furniture. The first batch of upcycled furniture was sent to The Salvation Army’s ‘To・Gather’ @ Sam Shing Transitional Housing in Tuen Mun , creating a practical and recreational public space for more than a hundred households.

NWS Holdings won four awards at the city-wide Hong Kong Volunteer Award Presentation Ceremony, co-organised by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Agency for Volunteer Service, namely “Outstanding Corporate”, “Outstanding Volunteer/ Group”, “Outstanding Collaboration Project”, and “Top Ten Highest Volunteer Hours” awards. The awards bring full recognition to the Group’s continued advocacy of voluntary work, concern for youth development, as well as its dedication to Creating Shared Value (CSV) for society.

We leverage our business strengths, resources and network within our ecosystem to optimise positive social impact through different initiatives.

 

Our community investment strategy aims to empower the next generations, foster a volunteer culture and promote environmental sustainability, and achieve these objectives through partnering with social enterprises and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) , as well as collaborating with our parent company, New World Development Company Limited, to support the long term sustainable development of society.
