（28 February 2006, Hong Kong） The annual Fun Day of NWS Holdings Limited (“NWS Holdings” or the “Group”, Hong Kong stock code: 0659) was held on 26 February, with an attendance of nearly 5,000 including staff and their family members. Programmes included game booths designed by member companies of NWS Holdings, fairy tales costume fashion show, track games, cheering competition and lucky draw.
Directors of NWS Holdings and Dr Y T Cheng, chairman of the New World Group, mother company of NWS Holdings officiated at the team building ceremony, which symbolized that NWS Holdings would continue to serve the society with enthusiasm. Dr Cheng said, “NWS Holdings has a 43,000-strong workforce in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Macau. The Fun Day is a good opportunity for us to boost team spirit. This year the event is even more meaningful as a charity sale booth is set up to raise fund for Hans Andersen Club, showing the Group’s commitment towards the community.”
The Group values the importance of corporate social responsibility. This year, 30 participants of Fairy Kiddo were invited to join the Fun Day, in which they also designed and held a game booth. Launched by NWS Volunteer Alliance and partnership with Hans Andersen Club, Fairy Kiddo is the programme of Life Rejuvenation Scheme 2006. The charity sale was well received. All the proceeds will go to Hans Andersen Club.
Besides, NWSH Corporate Song was launched that day. Led by renowned singer Eliza Chan, the chorus of the NWSH Corporate Song highlighted the Fun Day. This is the fifth consecutive year for NWS Holdings to hold the Fun Day, with the objectives to foster communication and boost team spirit.
