（24 February 2008, Hong Kong）The annual Fun Day of NWS Holdings Limited (“NWS Holdings” or the “Group”, Hong Kong stock code: 0659) was held on 24 February 2008, with nearly 5,000 staff and their family members attending. The activity, which has themes “NWS Holdings’ fifth anniversary” and “Olympic games”, aims to enhance the Group’s team spirit and promote work-life balance among its staff members. The event is made even more meaningful by having a charity sale booth set up to raise fund for NWS Holdings Charities Foundation.
NWS Holdings’ 43,000-strong workforce span Hong Kong, Mainland China and Macau. The Group has been organizing NWS Fun Day for the seventh consecutive year to boost team spirit and to show the Group’s appreciation to the valuable staff, whose contribution brings continuous progress to the Group in these five years.
Directors of NWS Holdings watched some original birthday greeting performance by the Group’s member companies. They officiated at the ceremony and led the audience to cheer the fifth anniversary slogan together. The theme of NWS Fun Day 2008 was “Olympic games”. Programmes like track games, game booths and cheering competition, which were participated or designed by the Group’s member companies, all came with an Olympic touch. Besides, some staff members’ children, who are three to eight years old, joined the “NWS Holdings’ Got Talent” competition and impressed the audience with their quality performance. They also sang and danced together with Mr Mok Hoi Him from TV programme Minutes to Fame.
As always, the Group values corporate social responsibility. The charity sale was well received. All funds raised will be donated to NWS Holdings Charities Foundation to support worthy causes such as community welfare, environmental protection, education and health care.
