NWS Holdings Selected as Constituent Stock of Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability and Hang Seng ESG50 Indices

(7 Sep 2020, Hong Kong) NWS Holdings Limited (“NWS Holdings” or the “Group”; Hong Kong stock code: 659) is pleased to announce that it has been listed as a constituent stock on the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index ("HSSUS") and the Hang Seng ESG 50 Index, with immediate effect today.


The HSSUS comprises 30 listed companies from Hong Kong, which have an outstanding record of performance in the field of corporate sustainability. Companies are selected based on a comprehensive sustainability assessment undertaken by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, an independent and professional assessment body. Assessment criteria include Corporate Governance, Human Rights, Labour Practices, Environment, Fair Operating Practices, Consumer Issues, and Community Involvement and Development. The Hang Seng ESG 50 Index includes top 50 ESG (Environmental, social and corporate governance) leaders with relatively high market-capitalisation listed in Hong Kong.


For ten consecutive years since 2011, NWS Holdings has been included in the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Benchmark Index. In addition to being selected as a constituent stock of the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index this year, our sustainability rating has also been upgraded from “AA” to “AA+”
